About Keenan

Bio:

I'm a media professional with a passion for telling the dynamic stories of those who break boundaries and push the limits.

Through imagery - both moving and still - I seeks to capture the moments where people exceed expectations and demonstrate commitment, courage, and innovative thinking.

In 2020, mid-Pandemic, I transitioned from an active duty military career as a U.S Air Force Public Affairs Officer, during which I advised tactical-level commanders on the global information and media environment. In this vital role, I was responsible for social media strategy, media engagement, and visual imagery management at the installation and wing levels.

I graduated from UCLA in 2022 with my MFA from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Producer’s Program and shortly after began assisting talent agent Steven Brown at Creative Artists Agency, where I currently work. I continue to serve in the Air Force Reserve as a PAO Individual Mobilization Augmentee with a combatant command.

While I wanted the military to be work I have done in my life, I want storytelling to be my life’s work.

My position as a USAF PAO enabled me to hone my photography and leadership skills throughout Europe, while supporting real-world operations for United States Air Forces Europe, US European Command, US Central Command, the Afghan National Army, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). During my first deployment, I served as the PAO for the 493rd Air Expeditionary Group, supporting the Baltic Air Policing mission in Lithuania, during the Russian incursion in Ukraine; this critical NATO mission ensured a safe and secure airspace over Eastern Europe and provided for the stability of the Baltic states. For my role in effectively communicating the story of this mission, I was recognized by the commander of the Lithuanian Air Force and received the Baltic Air Policing Medal from all three Baltic nations.

I also deployed to Afghanistan in 2017, where I served as the Chief, Public Affairs, for the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, advising Air Force counter-terrorism leaders on the Afghan information environment and syncing US counter-terror objectives with the NATO Resolute Support Mission. For my service in Afghanistan, I received the Air Force Commendation Medal with Combat device and was named Company Grade Officer of the Month twice.

My job in the Air Force did not—and does not—define me though. My passion for storytelling extends to all those who dare to do more, be more, and see more. I fulfil this passion through photography and filmmaking.

I am also a graduate of American University's School of Communication, earning a B.A. in Film and Media Art, with a minor in Marketing. It was there, on the college's Washington, DC campus that the passion for narrative took hold.

As a student and aspiring model, I became increasingly enamored with visual storytelling and creative narrative structure. Now, I hone the relevant skills by focusing on action/adventure sports and travel photography and studying cinema, marketing and the entertainment industry.

Additionally, I'm a proud brother of the Zeta Psi International Fraternity (∆X '12).
